Description
Aptly named after a medium-sized wildcat, are the members of the Family Oxyopidae under the Order Araneae (Spiders). Characterized by its spiny legs & tapered abdomens, the lynx spider uses its web not as a trap but as an ambush camp, indiscriminately preying on other insects & spiders. With 400+ known species, some of which were observed to be both diurnal & nocturnal.

awesome shot! That spider looks beautiful by the way. Still reminds me of Shelob from Lord of the Rings though.
